We are primarily dedicated to the outdoors and to slower and greener tourism…
whether religious, cultural, educational, historic or purely social.

A passion for walking & learning
We saunter but we do so with a purpose.
We walk in nature and also walk back in time, immersing ourselves in history, culture, the arts and or spiritiuality. These are some of the entities / brands that we serve:
XirCammini

Appreciating Europe’s Cultural and Historical Heritage through Trekking. XirCammini is a voluntary, membership-based entity (VO1646), whose primary and over-riding objects are to research and advance knowledge and education about and generate interest in pilgrimages, hiking and/or faith travel focusing mainly on the ancient routes in Europe. Camino Maltés

Walking across four territories in three countries and including the maritime crossing in between, the Camino Maltés de Santiago de Compostela is approximately 3,600km long (making it one of the longest Caminos de Santiago de Compostela). It starts from outside St. Paul’s Catacombs in Rabat, Malta and, traversing Sicily, Sardinia and Spain, ends in Santiago de Compostela. This is XirCammini‘s flagship project. Universal Peace Walk 1543AD

The Universal Peace Walk was first walked on the feast of St. Gregory, i.e. 12th March 1543, with the intention of universal peace in Europe, i.e. the old world. It was instituted after the failure of the council of Mantua in 1536 and in preparation of a new council in Trent in 1545.
More information about the historical context is available here.
Universal Peace Walk 1543AD® is registered as a trade name belonging to XirCammini and protected by law (Ref: 59214).
Camino Mariae Melitensis 1432AD

In the mediterranean around Malta, the Hafsids, who besieged Mdina in 1429, were threatening the peace also in the waters around Malta and captured Aragonese territories in North Africa. In 1432 King Alfonso led a military expedition against the Hafsids in Djerba. After his 1432 Djerba expedition King Alfonso V stopped in Malta. In Malta he visited the Inguanez family in Mdina and he also visited the Sanctuary of Our Lady, Mater Dei, in Mellieha accompanied by several bishops. This walk is yet another XirCammini project. Another flagship camino in the Maltese islands is Melita Mariana, highlighting Marian devotion in Malta from Byzantine times to our latest devotion, Ta’ Pinu, in Gozo.
