Walk.mt is registered as a limited liability company and licensed by Malta Tourism Authority as a TRA/W/18 with the necessary public liability and professional indemnity insurance in place. The company was established primarily to support XirCammini in its activities but also serves other educational, cultural, faith, social and outdoor-adventure travel.

Walking in the countryside needs to take place in a respectful way to the environment and other countryside users.
- Walk along pathways as far as possible.
- Do not trespass, cause damage or trample on cultivated areas.
- Respect other countryside users and do not cause undue disturbance to others.
- Refrain from collecting or causing harm to any specimens of flora and fauna.
- Do not litter the countryside.
- Do not dispose of any waste near the sea.
- Avoid causing noise and light pollution (especially in caves or at night).
- Do not light fires in vulnerable locations (such as caves, under trees, on dry grass or garigue).
- Know the protection status of any sites we will pass through. Some activities may be restricted in such areas or they may require extra attention.
- Report any grass fires or emergencies on 112.
